The band's frontman, Johan Hegg, reveals about the new album that they are focusing on new musical directions. "It's hard to reveal anything more, but I think it could be a very diverse album. On the other hand, I always think that, and then you release the album and everyone says: 'Listen, this is classic Amon Amarth.'" We always try to balance new, interesting concepts of our music with the effort to preserve the band format. It's like what Iron Maiden do: you'll always hear that it's an Iron Maiden song, but they always add some new, interesting things to their albums.”
