METALFEST OPEN AIR 2026 – Lochotín Amphitheatre, PILSEN – 5.–7. 6. 2026
Swedish progressive metal band SOEN released their new album “Reliance” last Friday, preceded by the mysteriously enchanting single and video “Indifferent”. Check it out.
“‘Indifferent’ is about how relying on something or someone is tricky. It’s the quiet shock of realizing that the person you’re leaning on is no longer with you emotionally,” explains singer and frontman Joel Ekelöf. “The song, carried by the fantastic string quartet Atlantis, allows tension and restraint to speak louder than anger. The connection is risky, but worth the effort,” adds founding member and drummer Martin Lopez.
“Indifferent” is a beautiful lament for the loss of love, which relies resolutely on the power of strings, piano and Ekelöf’s amazing voice. The video features a dancer transformed into a character from the album cover of “Reliance”, whose make-up and costume reflect the theme, while in harmony with the music, she combines elegance with inner expressions of sadness and pain.
The album is available >>HERE<< for example.
