German power metallers ORDEN OGAN will bring their new record "The Order Of Fear" to this year's 13th edition of the METALFEST OPEN AIR international metal festival in PILSEN. Metal nation, rejoice! The first single "My Worst Enemy" is out with a new video, and we're bringing it to you now to shorten your wait for the end of May, exactly on 31.5., when METALFEST starts in the super amphitheater Lochotín!
Their upcoming masterpiece "The Order Of Fear" will be nothing short of an absolute triumph and living proof of their immense creative work. Orden Ogan mastermind Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann describes it as "clearly downscaled, more metal and to the point", marking the beginning of a new dark power metal era. In the first single "My Worst Enemy", which saw the light of day last week, I show ORDEN OGAN my vulnerable side and they are as personal as ever. It's a power ballad that appeals to those who suffer from anxiety, depression and self-doubt. It lets them know they are not alone!
"Seeb" on the single: "My Worst Enemy" is a bit of an odd choice as the first single from "The Order Of Fear" because ballads aren't the usual way to get excited about a new record. But there are always two layers to the band's lyrics: On the one hand, they tell the story of Alistair Vale, an immortal figure spreading death and sorrow; on the other hand, they appeal to people who struggle with anxiety and depression and tell them that they are not alone. Simply put: a person becomes his own worst enemy by being trapped in negative thoughts and making the same mistakes over and over again. I've been thinking about this song for years and always wanted to record it. Now I'm glad it finally found its way out of my head."
